FAQ|s

  • What safety gear is provided?

All participants will be provided with a pre-sanitized safety helmet with attached full face shield, a tear and puncture resistant coverall, a chest protector, and safety gloves.

  • What is the dress code?

To ensure the safety of our customers, all participants must wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, socks that cover your ankles, and closed-toed, flat shoes only. NO shorts, dresses, skirts, sandals, flip-flops, high heels, or open-toed shoes of any kind will be permitted. Please keep in mind smashing is much like a workout in its own right and you will break a sweat, so we suggest lightweight, breathable clothing, such as workout attire if possible.

  • Arrive on Time!

Please make sure you arrive on time to your appointment, as there are appointments immediately following your session. We allow late arrivals of no more than 10 minutes and ask that you call if you are running late. If you do not arrive on time, your appointment can be cancelled without refund.

  • What will I be smashing?

Each smash session includes furniture pieces and more than 10-20 breakables per person, depending on the length of your session, increases with duration, and equates to more than one piece per minute no matter what session you choose. Everything (less the punching bag and the walls) inside the netted area of the SmashBox is fair game, furniture and all. There are a number of add-ons that include, but are not limited to: a Smash Session Documentary, 11lb Ice Blocks, Small, Medium, and Large Super Smashers that range from small appliances, electronics, printers, TV's, windshields, glass tabletops and more. Specialty add-ons such as large office copiers and cars are readily available and can be added to your reservation for an additional fee, by calling and ordering at least 24-hours prior to your session. Looking for something specific to smash not mentioned? There's a good chance we can get it, so just give us a call!

  • Can I pick the music that plays during my smash session?

Yes! It is highly recommended that you complete the post-booking questionnaire or email us before your appointment and provide at least 10 songs you want to smash to. If you can't think of anything, we have a variety of genres and pre-mixed playlists for you to choose from.

  • How many people can smash at one time?

Only two people can smash at one time. For groups of 3 or larger, please coordinate with your party to determine the smashing order. There is a safe zone in the smash room for smashers to hangout until it's your turn to smash. For families bringing minors, at least one parent or guardian must be in the SmashBox at all times.

  • Are children allowed to smash?

Yes. Children 10 years and older are permitted to smash; however, only with signed consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. Children under the age of 18 cannot be left unattended at any time while at SmashBox|20. Children under 10 years are not permitted in the SmashBox.

  • What should I bring with me?

You will need a valid state issued ID for check-in. If you are using a discount code for essential employees, you will need to bring proof of employment such as an employer-issued ID badge or DOT card for your first visit. Please leave all other personal belongings in your locked vehicles, as SmashBox|20 cannot be responsible for them.

  • Can we take pictures and video?

SmashBox|20 is happy to take photos of you and your party at the beginning and end of your session; however, recording video is not permitted. For a Smash Session Documentary, see add-ons at check-out.

  • Can non-smashers go into the SmashBox?

Only participants who have signed the Participant Liability Waiver and have been outfitted with safety gear are permitted in the SmashBox. A Parent or guardian who is not smashing and only accompanying their minor children, must be in the SmashBox during the session and will be required to sign a separate Participant Liability Waiver and be outfitted with protective gear to enter.

  • Can the required waiver be completed ahead of my appointment?

Yes. The electronic waiver is linked to the confirmation email sent at the time of booking. This email can be forwarded to the other guests in your party so they can complete the check-in process ahead of time. You can also click here to access our digital waiver.

  • Can I bring my junk to SmashBox|20 to smash or donate?

Yes. We are totally agreeable to you bringing the following things with you to your session, or to donate to other smashers. SmashBox|20 is happy to accept all of your smashable un-upholstered furniture, electronics, glass, and most household items.
